What Is Your Story?

Do you have a story to tell? I was in the gym today and met a most amazing man. His story is so incredible! As he spoke to me I was thinking that he is just a treasure waiting to be unlocked by millions who would benefit from his story. He has done 10 tours in Iraq. He has jumped out of MANY helicopters to perform rescue missions. Because of his service to our country, he had to have part of his back removed…literally an 8-10 inch section…and replaced with titanium. After the operation 9 years ago, he is still rehabbing. We met because I was waiting for the strength training machine he was using. Lucky me. To hear his fascinating story was such a gift. I could have listened for hours! I told him that his story could help so many people. He said he and his wife do volunteer quite a bit…he helps veterans returning from the battle field with injuries. Awesome… I’m telling you this story because I have such passion when it comes to teaching what we learn. Whatever the arena, however it happens, teach what you learn! Then, when you get, give. I so love hearing the stories of others who have had trials that they have conquered! These stories give hope. When we know that we aren’t the only ones who’ve been through an adversity of a particular kind, somehow it helps to know we are not alone.
